The McAuliffe Site Services team are in the process of wrapping up the site temporary services for Mace: Fetter Lane, having provided the infrastructure for the project.
🏗️Mace, the international construction and consultancy company was appointed to deliver ‘Edenica’, an office and retail development at 100 Fetter Lane in London.
👷♂️Development for the former offices of DAC Beachcroft and the White Swan pub at 108 Fetter Lane included the demolition of the existing buildings and the delivery of a new 12-storey development, roof gardens, new pedestrian route and pocket square at ground level, as well as ancillary cycle parking.
🌳The 95,000 sq ft development will target the highest environmental standards of BREEAM Outstanding, as well as WiredScore, SmartScore and WELL certifications.
🌆Sustainability, technology and wellbeing have been extensively incorporated into the design including generous planted terraces, facilities to encourage active modes of travel and high-performance 100% electric building services to ensure the building achieves carbon neutrality in use.
📜History of Fetter Lane
The street was originally called Faytor or Faiter Lane, then Fewteres Lane. The Fetter Lane Society was the first flowering of the Moravian Church in Britain, and an important precursor to Methodism. It was founded in 1738. Although the original meeting house was destroyed in the mid-20th century, the society still meets in London and is part of the British Province of the Moravian Church.
💡Work on this amazing redevelopment project began for MSS in June 2023 and we hope to work with Mace again in the future for another world class development.
